Square Sellers (com.gnoosis.empooriosquaresellers, production version 1.0.3 on Google Play) is the youngest of Empoorio's commerce apps: a sellers' app for shops and market stalls — the merchants whose customers are neighbours rather than delivery orders. This post is about what a small seller gets from the ecosystem, and specifically about loyalty, because that is where the previous version of this page made promises nobody here can keep.
What a seller has today
A Square Sellers merchant lists products, takes orders and is paid in fiat, on the same backend as Eats, Manager and Riders. The app shipped to production in 2026 and has the shortest feature list of the five — by design, since a stall does not need a floor-plan editor.
Loyalty, honestly
On most chains a loyalty programme is a token contract and a dashboard, and the customer ends up managing a wallet to collect coffee stamps. EmpoorioChain's native pallets make a different shape possible, and here is exactly which parts exist:
- Non-transferable membership —
pallet-sbt(soulbound tokens) is in the live runtime. A seller could issue a membership that cannot be resold. - Redeemable points as a native asset —
pallet-emp-assetscan mint a seller-specific asset with no contract deployment. - Sponsored gas —
pallet-paymasterlets the seller pay the fees so the customer never buys DMS to earn a stamp. - The wallet — Eoonia would hold the membership and points alongside DMS and ETH, and deep links would let the seller's app award them at the till.
What does not exist: a loyalty product in Square Sellers, any seller using one, or a plan with a date. The pallets are wired; the app integration is not. This page will describe a real seller's programme when one has awarded a real point on the live chain.
Why start with sellers at all
Because they are the customers a delivery app never reaches. A stall in a market has no online ordering and no interest in a courier — but it has regulars, and regulars are the whole point of loyalty. A cheap, non-transferable, wallet-held stamp card that the seller sponsors is the kind of thing a native-pallet chain can make trivial. It has not been made yet.
Housekeeping
The store listing for Square Sellers pointed at a website domain that does not exist; it is being corrected along with the other listings in the family. Updates to the family are paused pending the store's health and financial-feature declarations.
