Lending on EmpoorioChain: pallet-lending, Tested Under Load, Used by Nobody

The pallet

pallet-lending (runtime index 77) is a native money market: users supply assets to a pool and earn interest; borrowers post collateral and borrow against it up to a collateral factor; positions below the threshold can be liquidated. Interest accrues per block; rates follow utilisation. No contract, no ABI — runtime state and events.

Measured on the testnet: lending.deposit costs 0.000150 DMS in transaction fees.

Under load

The May 2026 mixed-workload benchmark allocated 10 % of traffic to lending — supply, borrow, repay and liquidation-safe churn — alongside transfers, swaps and staking. All 700 transactions in the run were included and finalized with a 0 % failure rate. The pallet works under concurrent load with other pallets.

Native advantages

  • Liquidations are runtime logic, executed deterministically; no keeper network racing to call a contract.
  • Collateral can be any native asset, including DUSD and future RWA tokens under pallet-compliance rules.
  • Flash loans (pallet-flashloan) are atomic within one extrinsic against the same pools.
  • MEV protection applies to liquidations as it does to swaps.

What it is not

  • Not audited. The mainnet gate requires an external DeFi audit covering DEX, lending and vaults. Not commissioned.
  • Not a credit product. There is no undercollateralised lending, no credit scoring, no off-chain borrower, no real-world receivable. The previous version of this page described a private-credit platform on another chain; nothing of the kind exists here.
  • Not used. Test assets, benchmark traffic, no real user.

What would come first

A reputation signal exists — pallet-reputation (index 88), and KryptoOS credentials — from which undercollateralised lending could one day draw. That is a research direction, not a plan. The plan is: audit, then mainnet, then a supply-and-borrow market on native assets, then anything more.

Trying it

On the testnet, through Polkadot.js: lending.supply(asset, amount), lending.borrow(asset, amount), lending.repay. Read pool state under lending.pools. Everything is test value; the fee is real.

Based on PALLET_REFERENCE.md, PERFORMANCE_REPORT.md (workload matrix), FEE_MODEL_AND_LOW_COST_STRATEGY.md and MAINNET_GATE.md Gate 1.
