Nothing is announced before it exists. Exists means a reader can check it without trusting this page.
What qualifies, and how to check it

What does not qualify
- Partnerships, listings, audits, press — until they exist with the counterparty's own confirmation. Every item of this kind on the previous site was removed in September 2026 because none existed.
- Dates for things not yet built — the hackathon, the grants round, the mainnet.
- Metrics without instrumentation — active users, developer counts, TPS from a laptop.
- Anything from another ecosystem — which was, until September, most of this blog.
What the previous "Ecosystem News" was
Another network's newsletter with the name changed. It listed that network's partners, hackathons and metrics as this ecosystem's.
Where news appears now
This blog's Firsts, Checkpoint, Postmortem and Engineering Notes series; the status pages that cite file versions; and the canonical files themselves. A reader who wants the unvarnished feed can watch RED.json's version number and the runtime's spec_version.
Why this makes the news smaller
Because most of what an ecosystem is tempted to announce has not happened yet. The ecosystem's real news in September 2026 was eight runtime upgrades, a first transaction, a first swap, a first DID, a first mobile adapter, a verified sale contract and a set of corrections. That is the feed, and every item has a hash.
