The claim that was here
The previous version of this page announced that the blockchain was carbon neutral, with on-chain credits offsetting its footprint. The footprint, the credits and the announcement belonged to another network. It was removed in September 2026 with the rest of that network's environmental reporting.
What the claim requires
- A measured footprint. Per-server power draw with the data centre's PUE, over a stated period, published with its method. EmpoorioChain has not measured its two servers.
- A boundary. Which servers count — validators only, or the Ailoos inference and training servers, the app backends, the phones? An honest boundary makes the number larger and the claim harder.
- Verifiable offsets. Credits from a recognised methodology, retired irreversibly, traceable to the footprint.
pallet-carbon-creditscan record a retirement; it has never recorded an issuance, because no credentialed issuer exists. - Repetition. Neutrality is per period. A one-time announcement is a press release, not a property.
What is true instead
- Proof of stake: no competitive computation; energy bounded by validator count, currently two.
- A carbon-credits pallet with an irreversible
retireevent, wired and unused. - A solar-generation pallet fed by OmilooS inverter readings, wired and awaiting its first attested report.
- A rule: every figure carries its proof or comes off.
The order of operations
Measure. Publish the measurement with its boundary. Then, if the ecosystem chooses, retire credits against it — credits whose issuance the chain itself recorded, from attested generation the chain itself holds. That sequence would make EmpoorioChain one of very few networks whose neutrality claim is verifiable end to end on its own ledger. It is also a sequence that has not started, and this page is the honest first step: saying so.
Based on the ecosystem's documentation rule on figures, PALLET_REFERENCE.md and the September 2026 site audit.
