Aephoron (com.aephoron.browser) is the ecosystem's browser, with its own engine. Like any browser, what it mostly does is show you other people's pages: this policy explains what the browser itself does, not what the sites you visit do.
The data controller is Empoorio (https://empoorio.org). This policy covers the Aephoron Android app published on Google Play as com.aephoron.browser. It does not cover the other apps in the ecosystem, each of which has its own. For any privacy matter: legal@empoorio.org.
The browser does not ask you to register. History, bookmarks and site cookies stay on your phone.
There is no server of ours storing what you visit. What you type in the bar goes to the search engine you have chosen, a third party with its own policy.
A browser declares these permissions because web pages can ask for them: a video call needs camera and microphone, a map needs your position. The browser does not use them on its own: when a page asks, it asks you, and if you say no, nothing else happens. Put another way: the browser holds the permission so it can grant it — or not — to each site that asks.
• It does not store your history outside the phone. • No third-party analytics. • It does not use the camera, microphone or location on its own. • It does not sell or share browsing data.
You can clear history, cookies and the permissions granted to each site from the browser's settings. Since there is no server of ours holding that data, that is the end of it. Questions: legal@empoorio.org.
