Ennooia Privacy Policy

The data controller is Empoorio (https://empoorio.org). This policy covers the Ennooia Android app published on Google Play, its desktop and web versions, and the optional Empoorio cloud services the app can use. By installing or using Ennooia you accept the practices described here.

Ennooia is designed so that your data belongs to you:

• Your notes, documents, databases and workflows are stored locally on your device.
• You can use the app in guest or local mode without creating an account or providing an email address.
• Advanced AI processing and synthesis features can run directly on the device.
• We do not sell personal data or use the contents of your workspaces for commercial purposes.

We collect only what is strictly needed to provide the service you choose to use:

• Optional account: if you enable cross-device sync, we store your email address or the identifier from the sign-in provider (Google, GitHub or Discord) you use.
• Workspace content: transferred to Empoorio servers only while sync is enabled, and always to deliver it back to you on your other devices.
• Optional diagnostics: after a serious app crash, technical error logs are sent anonymously and only if you expressly consent.
• We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers or browsing data.

The Android app requests these permissions and uses each one only for the stated purpose:

• Internet and network state: syncing with your account, opening links and checking whether a connection is available.
• Storage and files: importing and exporting documents or attaching files and images you pick through the system picker.
• Camera: inserting a photo into a document when you ask for it. The camera is never activated in the background or without your action.

We use data to create and maintain your account, sync your workspaces across devices, handle your support requests and fix technical issues. The legal basis is the performance of the service you request and, for optional diagnostics, your consent. We do no personalised advertising, profiling or automated decisions with legal effects on you.

All communication between the app and Empoorio services is protected with modern TLS. Credentials and cryptographic keys are kept in each operating system's secure key store. Account data is retained for as long as the account exists and is deleted from our servers when you delete it. Local data stays on your device under your control and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data, so we recommend keeping backups.

We do not sell or hand over data to data brokers, ad networks or analytics platforms. Third parties are involved only in these cases:

• Identity providers (Google, GitHub or Discord) when you choose to sign in with them, under their own policies.
• Infrastructure providers hosting Empoorio's sync services, under data processing agreements.
• Competent authorities when required by a legal obligation.

You can access, rectify, export or completely delete your account and associated data at any time from the app settings or by writing to legal@empoorio.org. If you live in the European Economic Area you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Ennooia is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have received a child's data without the required authorisation, we will delete it.
