NFTs

Non-fungible tokens (an ERC-721-style asset — each unit is unique and not interchangeable) are handled by two distinct pallets on EmpoorioChain.

pallet-uniques

pallet-uniques, compiled at runtime index 24, is the standard Substrate NFT pallet and is confirmed solid — it's fully present in construct_runtime! with all of its documented extrinsics benchmarked.

At a capability level, it gives you:

  • Collections ("classes" in Substrate terminology) that group related items — collections are a native, built-in concept here, not an opt-in add-on the way NFT "grouping" works on some other chains.
  • Minting and burning individual items within a collection.
  • Transferring item ownership.
  • Freezing either an individual item or an entire collection.
  • Metadata and attributes attached to items and collections.
  • Delegated transfer approval, similar in spirit to the delegate model on fungible assets.

pallet-emp-nft

pallet-emp-nft, compiled at runtime index 53, is a separate, additional NFT pallet used by Eoonia Wallet's empNft calls. It's distinct from pallet-uniques — treat the two as complementary rather than redundant, and check which one a given application (e.g. Eoonia Wallet) actually targets before assuming NFT calls route through pallet-uniques.

As with the fungible-token pallet, the descriptions above are at a general capability level. Verify exact extrinsic names and parameters against live chain metadata before writing production code.

Non-transferable / soulbound NFTs

If you need an NFT that can never change owners once minted, see Non-Transferable Tokens, backed by a dedicated pallet-sbt.
